ENVECO was recently awarded a contract to design a vapor barrier and provide construction support for a new warehouse being constructed on a contaminated property. The property was formerly occupied by an electrical equipment manufacturer, has documented impacts to soil and groundwater from releases of chlorinated solvents, and was entered into the VA Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP). ENVECO was contracted by the developer of the property to provide oversight during excavation in contaminated areas, manage contaminated soil and groundwater generated during excavation, design a vapor barrier to protect the new 140,000 SF structure from vapor intrusion, and to certify proper installation of the barrier via inspections.
